Here's a question for you all...
What burning speed does the Windows Disc Image Burner run at? Does it run at the maximum possible or does it run at a low speed whatever the brand of disk you put in? It's not very often I have to burn dvd data disks nowadays, but when I do it's usually by this simple Windows 7 method. i.e. Right click on .iso file and select burn with Windows Disc Image Burner.
