Now all i need is a decent SSD :)
Don't ready now which one to get ! Vertex 2...intel mX25 G2...Crucial c300, or other!
    Nice rig :)

    So many choices now.

Can't go wrong with Intel, seems that the WEI and benchmark scores posted on various sites are good.
Both the others you listed are very good as well.

For a good review of benchmarks AnandTech is well respected.

If you check on his SSD forum, he has reviews for the three you mentioned and many more.

Check his site for a nice benchmark comparison tool.

Whichever one you get, you'll be glad you did

Thanks adamsuail, I've had it for two months now, and am enjoying it immensely

SSD selection is still a bit tricky, I've seen personal WEI and benchmark scores for the Intel SSDs that are very high in comparison to other brands. Yet, many websites rate other brands higher. I think the AnandTech Storage Bench - Light Workload is close to real world usage. The latest versions from OCZ and Crucial are scoring quite high.

Will be watching the SSD reviews and personal scores for the next several months, hope to find something (non-RAID) that passes the 3GB/s 300 MB/s mark by then.

I think I read that wrong dave did you mean 3 gigabyte/sec for a single drive? Not only is that not going to happen in the next several months that's likely a couple years away. Intel refresh is coming in the next few months and that's just an increase of capacity for g2 drives. Gen3 isn't until next year and those drives are likely 500+mb/sec read/write if we're lucky. Not only is 3GB/s only remotely possible via raid it's relegated to uber raid, somewhere around 12-16 drives.

I had that as well a while back, it's a stupidly irritating issue.. Open "C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore\" and delete all the xml files. Those are the files that store the scores from every WEI test done, sometimes the folder gets too full and causes issues with running the WEI.

No problem, it took me quite a while (about a week) to figure out exactly why my WEI test was behaving like that.. Lol. Hopefully it saves some other people the headache of finding a solution.
