2.5 mobile HDD and 3.5 desktop HDD has the same cables?

i plan to test my 2.5 mobile hdd to my desktop pc do they have the same power and data cables, will it be compatible
is there any drawbacks or incompatibilities

yes, its a 2.5 in hdd (sata 2) western digital brand, so will it work in my desktop

yes if your desktop is also sata and has a free port, and you should just use your first thread then ask new questions in there instead of making new ones just FYI.

no that will be unorganized i asked 2 different questions for 2 different threads . but anyways thnks tried it, it fits, but my mobile hdd is not working anymore.
