Hello,
I upgraded to windows 7, i forgot why, but I had to do a system restore, but it did not restore all of the way, so I installed another windows 7. When I start up it looks like the attached image. How do i get rid of the bottom one? I'm running out of HDD space, and it is becoming an inconvenience

Thank You

If you attach a larger screenshot, we could get some info from it. I'm going to assume you just have one actual install, and two boot options, which is annoying and can be cleaned up...but it isn't actually taking up any space. If you aren't sure, and have had multiple issues leading to restores, a disk wipe and clean install is never a bad idea.

I can boot to both, I just use this one that I am currently on. it basically just says "choose the operating system that you would like to boot too"

Are there actually distinct differences in both OS's? Or do both options lead to the same OS?

Hello TKoomen.

Before we make any specific recommendations will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have going on as there may be a fairly simple way to resolve the situation.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a snip of that.
