2 minute timer icon on home screen after factory reset?

Hello

This is my first post here so I hope I am in the correct section.

I recently handed over my laptop to the kids & then they managed to lock it with a password nobody could remember. So long story short I did a factory reset on it which worked well, however now there is a 2 minute timer icon on the home screen & I do not know why it's there or how to get rid of it.

This is on an Acer Aspire 5336 running windows 7
