I use 2 monitors (see below). Both worked fine for over a year then the digital monitor suddenly went blank and the computer now has problems booting and displaying. Everything works fine when nothing is connected by HDMI. Both monitors work when connected as analogs (one at a time because I only have one pin connection).
I have confirmed:
There is no malware/virus on my computer.
HDMI cable is fine (I have 2 new cables, and switching cables doesn't change anything).
I think all drivers are up to date
Windows 7 Pro is up to date.
Computer:
Dell Vostro 270s, Intel Quad Core i5-3450S CPU @2.80 GHz
Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1
Video card Intel HD Graphics Family
Monitors:
Samsung: SD24D300 digital
Dell E2011H generic PnP analog
Any suggestions?

Good idea. I tried several times before I figured out that it was the HDMI causing problems, but I couldn't get it to successfully restore. I'll try again.

If system restore does not work, then a suspect graphics card is likely. It's possible something is wrong with the HDMI circuit & when it is connected it causes problems with the analogue one as well.
