I have a samsung 305T and after about a couple of hours of us it starts to get really hot. Is that a problem, or is that normal this is the first time that I had heat of that measure coming from a screen, and I play alot and am on the computer for many other things, is a 30-inch to might to have on constantly, should I downgrade? or am I good, and making to much out of it?

Here are the nomnial's from the manual.

Operating Temperature : 50 °F~ 104 °F ( 10 °C ~ 40 °C)
Humidity : 10% ~ 80%, non-condensing

What I would do is get one of those indoor/outdoor min/max digital thermometers the kind that you can stick the outdoor probe to any surface. Now you wouldn't want to stick it onto the screen, but some where close.

Then place the body of the thermometer on an other area that seems hot.

Come back in about a half to an hour, and check the readings. if they are much higher than those listed you may want to consider taking it back to where you purchased it for a look see.
By much higher I mean anything over 20%, so at 104 °F your looking at 124.8°F

Your welcome, It looks like a very nice unit.

The manual (30pgs. 1.23MB pdf) can be found here:
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200703/20070314192037031_BN59-00565A-04Eng.pdf

There is also a Djvu file if you prefer that here:
Samsung

First I heard of Djvu, must be another variation of pdf.

I didn't think of it till now, and I didn't see it in the manual, but check the OSD (On Screen Display) menu. for any temp readings.
That's not to be confused with color temps that can be adjusted for picture coldness (Blues) or warmth (Reds).

Just try to make sure it has plenty of air flow around it, and keep the vents clean.

Write back, let us know what you came up with.
