Second that. You can tell by looking at graphics card specs, thats always the biggest they support.

IMHO, a 24" 1080P monitor is more than big enough sitting on a desk. Especially since your only a few feet away. But thats just me.

We each all have our own opinions as to whats to too much or looks best.

The only real downside to a 30" at that resolution is the need for more powerful graphics if you going to be gaming.

i also thing a 24in monitor is just the perfect size for everyday use. they are widely available in 1920x1080 with 2ms response times. this is a pretty reasonable resolution for gaming of course and supports full HD. can't ask for much more.
