32 bit versions running in 64 bit Windows 7

Not entirely sure if this is the right forum but hopefully it is. When I recently restarted my laptop I noticed that a lot of my programs are running in 32-bit mode (signified by *32 in task manager), despite the fact I'm running 64-bit Windows (Windows 7 Home Premium if it makes a difference) and I'm fairly sure that the *32 thing was never there before, at least for programs like Firefox and Steam.

I've tried rolling back but it's still occurring. Anyone know what I can do to fix it (if it is indeed an error/problem)?

You must have 32 bit and 64 bit, to ensure that all programs can be run properly. There is nothing that needs fixing.

You must have 32 bit IE, for times that its required.

That's simple *32 is indicate that are 32 bit program. If you want to disappear these app, you must install these equivalent 64 bit if they exist. Here are a list :
