3RVX is a skinnable volume display and controller. It shows your sound volume level with its on-screen display (OSD) and also allows you to control the volume via a skinnable slider or custom hotkeys. Supports drive eject notification, mouse hotkeys, and a wide range of customization options.

3rvx is the most commonly crashing program on my win7-64. usually it crashes when starting applications that attempt to control the audio in some way - media players and the like. no clear pattern, though.

anybody else seen this?

would an xp-compatibility mode help, perhaps?

volume2, the russian one that euFolk mentions above seems pretty good - so far no crashes, very customizable...
