5.1 LPCM audo with Windows Media Center?

Dear people,

How can I get Windows Media Center (64-bit) to play 5.1 LPCM audo? (such as found on a Blu-Ray). Allegedly Windows Media Center is supposed to support LPCM; but I can't, for the life of me, get it to work for my m2ts files. Windows Media Player won't do it either (naturally). And I can't use things like ffdshow, as Windows Media Center doesn't use that (I believe they use Windows Media Foundation stuff, but I don't know enough about that).

To play M2TS files ripped from a Blu-ray disks in x64 Media Center

Remove ALL previous codec installations such as Haali and FFDshow.

1. Install the Shark007 Win7codecs.
2. Install the Shark007 x64 Conponents addon.
3. Open the x64 settings application with administrative privileges.
4. On the SWAP TAB set MPC-HC for WVC1 and disable Media Foundation
5. On the MPG~MP4 TAB, select the blu-ray splitter.

Enjoy your ripped M2TS in Media Center.

(32bit users/players, make these settings adjustments in the 32bit settings application)

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I finally have audio in my mov files too! So now, as an extra bonus, I don't have to install the bloatware which is QuickTime.

I'm still struggling with this: still no LPCM sound in Media Player; and in Windows Media Center I now hear an occasional chirping (I guess at least that's progress): a few milisecond fragments of the original track (like someone is trying to decode the audio in a real bad way).

I really really want this to work properly.

EDIT, as we spoke, I solved it!! Item nr. 5 on your list screwed it up for me. Setting that back to MS default, and suddenly I have perfect LPCM audio! Not sure why that would occur; and I'm pretty sure it's something I must have done wrong elsewhere; but, finally, I can put this project to rest!
