7 is not working after dual boot with ubuntu

i have dual boot windows 7 with ubuntu, but after that ubuntu run well but it is not displaying any drive. then i restart windows,
it shows 5 boot option 2 of ubuntu, 2 of memtest, and 1 of windows 7 loader(on\devsda2\) something. when i click on it
it shows 2 option:
1. launch startup repair
2. start window normally
when i click on " start window normally" it restart after displaying a blue screen for 1 second.
launch startup repair is also not working.

then i finally decided to start a fresh copy of windows 7, but on partition manager it shows no drive when i boot it from windows 7 DVD.

help me to correct this problem without any data loss.

The first thing to do would be to make backups of the data you need to save to external media using the method out-lined in this tutorial at the link below, it works very well, I've used it myself.

i dont want to recover my data of my c drive but i want that the data of my other drives remains safe, hope u understand
by the way when i click on load drivers >my computer,

then it show me a partition named X. which is only of 31.5 MB.

help me.

Boot from the Windows DVD and Select Launch Startup Repair.

If it still doesnt work then, Boot from the windows DVD and enter the recovery environment.
Open command prompt and type the following commands.

bootrec /rebuildbcd
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /fixmbr

Remove the DVD and restart your computer.

first command run successfully.
when i run second command it says
"THE VOLUME DOES NOT CONTAIN A RECOGNIZED FILE SYSTEM.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED FILE SYSTEM DRIVERS ARE LOADED AND THAT VOLUME IS NOT CORRUPTED."
when i run 3rd command it run successfully.

Looks like you'll have to delete all partitions and reinstall windows 7. Of course the windows 7 dvd wont be able to detect the partitions (as you said).

Boot from Linux Live CD, go to System>Administration>Disk Utility.

Now on the left side, select your Hard Disk.



Then click on Format Volume. From the dropdown menu, select GUID partition.



Once the drive is formatted, boot into the Win7 DVD and see if it lets you format the partition and install windows on it.

If the above method fails, then repeat the same steps but this time from the dropdown menu, select Dont Partition.

hi, dinesh , you have tell me 3 commands of which 1st and 3rd run successfully.
now i boot then there is no option of booting ubuntu, but there is option to boot windows which is same as before and is not working.

ah that's a shame its simpler to remove that's all. can you not get into windows to boot whatsoever, is it the grub boot menu that controls boot up? and ubuntu is on the same drive as windows?
