Hey guys i looked on the microsoft website and it looks like the final service pack has come out. :D yay

Um but i noticed that the installation was 7.4 GB  So i will have sp1 for seven when windows 9 comes out? :roflmao:

I thought there is no way in heck that this is right lol.

I looked for alternative and it says that in windows update it should be there with the size 1.9 gb well still kind of big but it is smaller than 7 gb :P

Well i looked in my win update and ofcoarse it isnt there :picnic:

Well windows says if i install all the other updates it should be there when my computer is done doing the blue screen ;)

well First question WHY THE HECK IS IT SO BIG lol.

The other question is it safe? i saw a few other people that were having truble when they installed sp1

thanks for any replies :)

I think you talk about disk space required during the installation. The system is not really any bigger after SP1 is installed. I have done the installation on 3 systems up to now and did not have any problems at all. Just make sure you install it by itself and not together with other updates that might show up at the same time - install those first and then SP1.

I had no troubles installing it, and everything still runs, but for some reason since installing it, large apps and games load noticeably slower.

The size of the service pack will depend on what updates you have already installed. For me it was about 94MB and required 3 restarts to fully install.

I noticed that too. Was not sure whether that was because of SP1 though. First thought my SSD was at fault. I is not a big deal, but as you said: noticeable
