Nevermind...
Apparently uninstalling Apple Application Support and Apple Software Update crashes 7MC... I uninstalled Quicktime and reinstalled it (which reinstalls all 3) and that solved the issue...:sarc:

Hi RH

Event ID 1000 source 100 can be caused by DEP. DEP or data execution prevention is used to prevent applications (or virus) from launching in protected memory space. It is located in the system control panel>advanced>advanced>performance>DEP. The normal default setting is for essential windows applications. If it isnt set to that change it. If it is set to the you can use these DEP - Enable or Disable - Vista Forums to disable it. See if that works

Let us know if you need help

hmm thanks for that tip, I actually disabled DEP in an attempt to use 4GB of ram on 32bit but actually don't need that option anymore and never re-enabled it...
While for some odd reason reinstalling quicktime did fix the issue, you have reminded me to re-enable that! Thank you!
