{9fc96e23-1f77-f2fa-8dc2-20935173cf4f}.exe has stopped working

Recently I've been getting two error popups when rebooting "{9fc96e23-1f77-f2fa-8dc2-20935173cf4f}.exe has stopped working". I found the mystery program in C:\ProgramData with a date of 12/16/2014 (not a significant date for that PC as I recall). I deleted it, no more error messages and everything appears to be working normally but I would like to understand what that .exe may have been. It appears to be a Visual C++ program, could it be something that windows quarantined?

Thanks for the suggestion but eset NOD32 is installed/running on that PC, I also ran a malwarebytes scan, plus it's never used for internet surfing or email (my weather station PC).

1. Download the DM Log Collector application to your desktop by clicking the link below

DM Log Collector.exe

2. Run it by double-clicking the icon on your desktop, and follow the prompts.
3. Locate the .ZIP file that is created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.
