Gary, you should have been in Death Valley when we visited in August - 128F. That is what I call hot. The swimming pool at the lodge was over 100F.I prefer the cold to heat, I can put on more clothes and be warm. I can't get naked enough to be cool in hot weather.

Yes they have AC. The desert type where the evaporate dripping water over a box with straw - very efficient but maybe not that useful in a desert where they have little water.
