The files name is "Music Place", which is an application from Toshiba.
I can not find it in the desktop folder and all the programs that i have used are not able to recognize this file as existing in the desktop.
Ive tried to delete it in safe mode but it didnt work.
Ive also tried to delete it deleting icon cache.
When i make richt click on it just shows "open" and "create shortcut".
It can not be dropped in the bin or change its location.
I cant find it in the folder "namespace".

The icon after i delete the icon cache changed from a "unrecognized icon" ( this little white windows) to a folder icon.

It has no extension.

Thank you very much in advance.

Long shot... Turn off "Hide protected operating system files" under "Organize"->"Folder and Search Options"->"View" and then open "desktop.ini" in the desktop folder and see if there is some kind of bogus entry for it in there. If so you can delete the entry and save the file. (You may have to change permissions on it to save)

Do you use that app? If not uninstall it and see if it will remove it.

The problem began when i uninstalled it. I used the app from windows to do it and i cant find any folder from this app in my pc.

Ive done a files recovery with tuneup, and it brings 3 files related to Music Place. I did it thinking that maybe it would let me do something else with this icon, but it didnt.

Ive also used a command, ( i cant not remember now its name) and i had the posibility of seeing all the desktop icons in there. However, i couldnt delete it from this localitation either.

Thanks.
