a question about un-checking read only and full control

I have a stack full of game level files that I put on the HDD from the backup cd. Be for I can make changes to the files I have to go to properties of each file and uncheck the read only box then go to the security tab and click on the pemissions edit box and give each file full control. I have to do that to every level file. Is there a way to do all of the level files in like a batch cmd insted of one at a time?

I forgot to say the OS is Win 7 Home 32bit. I do have Win 10 Pro both 32 and 64 bit on a self booting USB stick. Do both of the tutorials info work for Win 7 Home 32bit?
