Adminstrator and System have Full control???????

Hi,
When I just got Windows Ultimate installed and I did not know much about it. I put administrator and system in full control thinking that since I am the administrator, my son would not be able to change anything. I had No Idea that this would happen.
I cannot in stall my Microsoft word. I cannot change anything!
When I try to windows tells me
" Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? To continue type in administrator password and then click yes"
BUT there is No where I can type in the password and click yes. the box that says yes is not highlighted only the Box that say No".
I cannot make any changes to the administrator or system It says that they both have "Full control".
Please help

Where did you get the W7 Ultimate installation media from (DVD/USB stick/etc.) ?
Did the laptop come with a Windows 7 OS pre-installed, and does it have a COA certificate ?
For a laptop it's usually on the bottom, or inside the battery compartment.

I got windows 7 Ultimate from a friend and he installed it for me.
No, I do not have a sticker on the bottom of my laptop.
What does that have to do with the post I posted?????

If you have some kind of hacked/pirated Win 7 installed, there is no telling what problems you might have.
Win 7 is not free, and Ultimate is the most expensive license for a home user.
Please attach a MGADiag report using these instructions:

Ask your friend that installed W7 Ultimate, is it legit, and do YOU have a legit key ?

Where did you buy a laptop without Win OS installed ?
Used, Ebay, pawn shop, etc. ???

That's great, but can you post the requested report, and answer all questions asked ?

I have bought licenses for some folks i personally help, and have given them the license/software as a gift.
So, I know it's possible, but it's not really "normal" ...

What you have stated is not "normal", so why not post the requested report ?
Or, how much did you pay for a Ultimate license ???
From what i know, those licenses aren't available from authorized distributors anymore ...

Anyway, I'll drop off here, I'm not sure about this, and I'm no expert.
Others may be able to help you ...

Are you saying your friend gave the Windows Ultimate installed dvd retail? In that case it is legal as long he/she does not have it installed on his/her computer. I know what he/she did, he/she just made you a standard account. What you need to do is start windows 7 in safe mode usually F8 at boot, choose administrator account at log-in, user accounts, Manager another user, select your account, change you account type to administrator. Restart, choose your account as normal.

I guess some laptops have COA sticker inside battery bay?

You may receive that error/warning when UAC is turned off and you are on a standard account.
