A third party master boot record refresh for Win7

I have recently seen a repair topic here from one Yvonne who said the problem to repair was fixed by your suggestion to get a factory ISO. No reply there.

My question is: Is there an ISO to refresh the MBR on Win7? Or is my hard drive just worn out?

I have backup but some of my data is on a shared network workgroup.

The need for an ISO is just to boot from to access the repair tools or command prompt.

What I've seen from the Win7 repair routine is nothing positive. I've mentioned previously
that I've never seen it fix anything. I've tried some other things like running system file checker from cmd: And also chkdsk /f/r But this disk might just be fried.

I'll report back any progress.

This is an older Hitachi UltraStar drive but I'll consider Seatools which I have had over the years.

Other sophisticated tools are available free at HDD Guru. I've used their Low Level Format tool and other things they show.

I'm seeing another slow load but this time in Safe Mode under Win 7

The trace stops at line that says:

Loaded \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys

And says "Please wait." What is a Win7 Safe Mode load looking for here and is there a way to patch it?
