I've seen this many times on Facebook over the past year or 2, i'm sure many variants of similar named apps have been released and this now confirms the danger with them.

I'm actually quite surprised that Facebook have never implemented this as a standard feature within account settings for your profile, ultimately it's a simple change of colour which a lot of people want and the makers of malware have jumped on this as they know people will go for it.

The same old infection still works because most people that use Facebook and other social sits never go to a security site or a forum like this to learn such things are out there.

In my opinion most people that use sites like Facebook or cell phones have no idea what security is and don't want to know.
So the infections might be 2 years old but these types of people will never know until they get infected.
