A8N32 SLI Deluxe Sound Problems

Hello, I have some problems fixing my sound.

I use the mother board integrated sound card ( Realtek AC'97 ALC850 ) And I use these speakers: Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround. When I set up the configuration and test I can hear all speakers, I select 5.1 and everything works fine. But when I listen music and or videos or anything that need sound, even youtube, only my Front R/L + SubRoofer are working. In the Asus thing utility I selected 6CH surround and even tried 8CH but in vain. I tried 7.1 and its the same. Since the speakers are working when I test with windows audio configuration, what is the problem? I need help please! Thanks!

At a guess, you're getting stereo sound from a stereo source.

Some sound card software can synthesize multichannel audio from stereo. Otherwise, stereo normally plays out the front speakers.

Try some 5.1 source material (like a DVD, if you can).

Ok I fixed it. I had to check the 5.1 in windows configuration and 6CH in the sound effect thing by realtek at same the 2 options opened. It resolved my problem.
