About Alt-tab Acting Up

Well, In Windows 7 Ultimate x64, the alt-tab feature sporadically changes to the classic Windows XP look. I have no idea why this keeps occurring, but I do know there is a little trick to force Windows 7 to change, albeit temporarily, to the Windows XP look. (you press the other alt key before pressing tab; basically utilizing both alt-tab keys on the keyboard). Well I haven't done that and it is already possessing the WIN XP look. I want to understand why it is changing to the XP look and how to change it back.

Note: A restart fixes the problem, but it may come back again.

I have scoured forums and the Internet but have only discovered issues pertaining to the WIN 7 to WIN XP alt-tab trick; not the other way around (force WIN 7 to keep the new aero look.)

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Can you post a screen image of what you are talking about? I don't see where XP Look would come into the Alt+Tab display. On my Pro X64 system, it looks like this:
