About RTM ?

Hi everone i have installed Windows 7 7600.16385. İ downloaded that build from torrent about a week ago... İ did MD5 controls and virüs scan. But i can only made md5 control part by part. it was three part and i made bootable ISO with .bif file and installed. The torrent was popular in that forum and i guess most of member installed Windows 7 7600.16385 from that torrent...

But i saw on net that a new ISO of 7600.16385 was leaked.

Do i need to install that new ISO which leaked on net ?

I don't think so. The build 7600.16385 is the current and final build. However, if you say that you saw a new ISO, if your internet connection is superb, download it.

i don't think there are any differences - 16385 = 16385 - i'm pretty sure they were just built in different ways, but contain exactly the same files when made into an iso.

it's really not worth installing all over again...enjoy your current os!

i would still recommend look for those which are not divided in parts. Go for a single ISO. I guess those divided in parts could be tampered.
Correct me if i m wrong.

i believe zidane24 has done extensive testing on the 3 rar chinese frankenbuild, and all checked out ok.

but by all means, download, install and enjoy the version you feel safest with! and i suppose there's less mucking around if you can find a single iso.

Someone did a compare on the forum here and they were just about the same bar the missing ei.cfg file on the earlier leak. Which gives you a choice of which version to install.

Whay does it mean ? and Where were the md5 values of 3 part rar anyone knows ?

Deleting ei.cfg from the ISO will allow you to choose the edition to install (ULTIMATE, PROFESSIONAL, etc....).

So guys DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE gold ISO 7600.16385 OR is it same with mine(which i downloaded about 8 days ago three part rar) ???

The general consensus (albeit with some exceptions) seems to be the 3 part rar is essentially the same code as the "Gold" untouched version just w/o the bootable part.

I downloaded the new "Gold" version. Of the important files I checked, hashes match the files from the untouched version. So I haven't reinstalled and I'm still using the version I installed from the 3 part rar. Seems fine to me and is running well.

Comparing certain important file hashes from each version and finding them to match, and also this agrees with what others have found.

Really, just grab it off of MSDN or TechConnect next week, or get the retail version in October. Then you can be assured of the source and quality of the build...

I have cheked only 3 part MD5 values. The all 3 part was correct about md5.

But how can i check my os with gold rtm's md5 or hash values ?

Is there a way to check my os that same with gold rtm(i deleted the ISO :S ) ?

Not as far as I know. All you can do is compare hashes of various files from the install media of each version. Like, for example, the big one which is install.wim (iirc).
