Solved Access denied after restore

i recently backed up my data from a possible hard disk failure. i went to samsung center to renew the defective hard disk. Now i am trying to restore my files and when I'm trying to open my restored files it would say access denied. how do i access the files?

ok, found the answer.

i changed the files ownership to my new account and added my account to the permissions with full control..
but do i have to do this for all the files i will restore?
