Hello everyone,

I have a WD drive and I am attempting to move my files onto it. However, I get the message, "Access is denied" when I attempt to do so. Checking the security tab(it was Fat32 but I changed it to NTFS) Everyone has full control. I show up as the owner for the file. However, /takeown and /convert on the fail all fail with "Access is denied" Note that I did start them up with admin permissions and UAC is disabled. I am at lost right now. I do have Symantec Endpoint Protection as this used to be a work computer, but alas I cannot disable it as I do not have the password. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum. A quick fix would be to convert it back to fat32 as that has no security on it you can do it with no data lose

Thank you, however as I said in the post even after converting it from Fat32 to NTFS it still has the same issue. Note that I didn't even have permission to convert it(said I needed to be in elevated mode even though I was). I did it on a different computer. The issue persists in Safe Mode.
