Acer 5750 Laptop CLOCK

I cloned the 500GB HDD onto 1TB SATA SSD and now the clock has to be reset each time I boot up.
I'm pleased with the speed improvement.

Welcome to the forum most likely the cmos battery often hard to replace on laptops if you leave if on charge and its ok its the battery

I agree. However, I found that the computers still keep time if they are plugged in even if the battery is dead. The battery is needed to keep time and BIOS settings when the computer is unplugged.
