Acer Aspire7739z HDMI Port not working

I was watching a movie using divx software via hdmi on my TV and it had some loudness issues so I downloaded divx srs audio fusion. I lost the sound completely so I disabled it in device manager and all was okay. After watching the movie I uninstalled the software using windows uninstall. After doing so I lost the hdmi video and audio completely. I reinstalled the Intel HD Graphic driver and the realtek HD driver using the system restore. This did not work. When I open the HD graphics interface it does recognize the external device but the TV displays "no signal". negeltfully I did a system restore and still no hdmi. I also tried different hdmi cables and other hdmi skots on tv didnt work. Can anyone help me?

Just a thought you haven't had a spike on the supply and just roughly how old is the machine?

Those drivers too I ma not trying to be obstructive but they did come from the manufacturers site as I find the Windows search a tad left to be desired.

Have a look in Troubleshoot in Cont Pan > view all > Advanced > Next - see pic see what comes up.

Stop doing system restores and work the problem. Make sure all your drivers are current and check device manager, as suggested by John.

Try watching your movies with VLM Player, it works flawlessly.
