Acer Laptop: Switchable Graphics using i7 & AMD Radeon

To be more specific, when I click on power saving, the save option on the lower right corner wont activate, it just stays on high performance all the time.

You can't do it via the Power options on the taskbar. Doesn't work like that, only via CCC.

Try installing BIOS 1.20, then install the Modded BIOS, then re-install CCC.

I'm on LeshCat drivers, so maybe, if that doesn't work, switch over to LeshCat, that'll prob work then.

Im not using the power options from the taskbar, im using the CCC with right click from the desktop.
I already installed 1.20 BIOS version, going to reinstall the custom BIOS now, and then install the ATI VGA drivers again.
Let's see how that goes.
In any case, do you mind giving me a LeshCat drivers link? I'll apreciate it.

Ok after re installing the custom bios everything works fine now, I can switch between the integrated and the dedicated on the fly with the CCC, maybe all I needed was update to 1.20 bios then install the custom
Thank you very much for your help.

Well I just noticed something interesting, I can switch the graphics alright with CCC but only when there's no program runnning, like clean desktop.
I wonder if this is normal, because it's kind of annoying to have to close all the programs to set power saving graphics, also, I dont have the option for automatic power saving switch like I saw on your screenshot

Yes, that's true...but really only when it's using the video card like our web browser or media player.

But I guess there's nothing else we can do...

I only mention this because I just ran into it (black screen on startup - can hear Windows running):

Check your Disply settings and see if you have 2 displays listed. On the laptop I was working on it had an HDTV listed as the primary display. The owner has no clue how that setting would have changed (unintentional).

I made the laptop display default and the issue went away. It is worth a look.

The version of Intel driver can also cause it. Check leshcat site, I believe some people have to use the 2559 version.
