Could be a font, the acrobat printer driver, or anything. could we get a screen shot of its output?

Are you using the English version of Adobe Acrobat? AFAIK, right to left languages are supported only in the Arabic and Hebrew versions. Correct me if I am wrong but i think Urdu and Arabic use the same script.

If you are using the Arabic version, then you may need to enable RTL somewhere in the settings.

I'm assuming you are trying to print to PDF using the "Adobe PDF" printer device. If this is the case, click the "Properties" button for the printer, then in the "Adobe PDF Settings" tab UNCHECK the "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" option.

If you are saving to PDF from the application itself, then you may need to embed whatever font you are using - the option for doing that will depend on the application.
