add sound to New Mail Notification

I have been able to add Monty Python sounds to other events using the contro panell, except for new mail notification.
I was able to add it, it tests fine but when I receive a new e-mail, nothing happens.
I am coming from a Mac environment and this function worked fine...what am I doing wrong?

hello can you tell the detail sound on the Ms outlook 2007 or 2003 or mobile?
and will be appreciate if you fill your system specs.
