This may be the wrong forum - but it applies to windows 7

I want to set up an ad-hoc network, but how do I disable it when I'm done using the ad-hoc? I don't want to have an adhoc network turned on whenever i go somewhere

One solution I tried was deleting the ad hoch network i just created, but it crashed Windows Explorer!!!! Any explanations?

Perhaps you had a network resource open when you disconnected. Test again, making sure no files are open.

"To disconnect from an ad hoc network, display the Connect To A Network window, click the ad hoc network, and then click Disconnect."

from a TechNet article: Create an Ad Hoc Wireless Network
