Administrator account diferences

Is there any differences between the administrator account I set up when installing Windows 7 premium and the system default administrator account that is not activated by default? My reason for asking is that several times while trying to do something (can't remember any specific thing right now) I get told I do not have administrator privileges when my account is listed as administrator. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The account that you set up when installing the OS, although it is an administrator account, actually behaves as a standard limited one. Let me explain. It is actually a hybrid one. Unless otherwise instructed, programs executed within this account run with standard privileges. If a program doesn't run correctly, then you need to right-click and elevate it (Run as administrator). If you are already using an administrator account, then you need to confirm that you want to elevate the program to run with higher privileges; if not, you will need to provide suitable credentials (name and password ofan administrator account).
