I am so frustrated that I will throw the whole computer out the window.
First it was the continous download problem, got lots of answers, but all were beyond my brain. Thanx for trying.

Now a major problem. I use Adobe flash player & Adobe Reader all the time.

I have Win7 64 bit & IE9 64 bit. I have been try for 3 days to either of these running on my computer. They were working perfectly & sudenly they stopped working. Adobe RDR gives error 1606 & Flash saya will not run on 64 bit IE.

It gives 2 MS urls, both are not available, & Adobe solutions are betond me.

It seems Adobe is at war with MS.

In the meantime I can't play online videos & can't open PDF files.

Any easy solutions to this?

Why doesn't Adobe have solutions for these problems?

Are there any alternatives to Adobe?;)

Help!

Yep, exactly. There's no reason at all to be using an x64 browser. You're experiencing the exact reasons for this.

How do I do that?

There is no listing of IE9-64 in control panel to remove.

Download of IE9-32 informs me that it is the wrong version for Win7-64.

What next?

True since the standard Adobe Flash player won't work on a 64-bit browser, but you can also check this out - Flash Player | 64-bit operating systems

Direct link for the "preview" release of Flash Square - Download Flash Player "Square" Beta Preview Release - Adobe Labs

I have tried about 5 times to download "Square". For some reason it shows it has been installed, but don't work. It doesn't show up in Control Panel, remove programs.

Since you have a 64-bit OS you have to choose the 64-bit IE9 Download. Once installed follow these instructions to use the 32-bit version of IE9 - http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/311-latest-version-adobe-flash-player-11.html#post366813

If it does, then you can access the 32-bit version by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer, look for "iexplore.exe", right click and create a shortcut on your desktop or wherever,

That will allow you to use the 32-bit version of IE9

Hope it helps.

As for Adobe Square, I haven't used it myself since I don't use the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, but..... if after installing IE9, you still want to use the 64-bit version, than try installing Square on it and see how it goes.

Let me know.

If you want to keep using IE 9 64 you could switch to the YouTube HTML5 Video Player most videos have been converted to it & its much faster & responsive than the Flash version.
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
If you join the trial all videos will play using the HTLM5 player to use Flash again for YouTube videos you have to return to the page & opt out.

From my experience; I've always seen the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of IE right next to each other by default in Windows 7 64-bit. Under Start > All Programs (In the top section that is above the program folders). I've attached a screenshot of how mine looks.
