AdwCleaner Quarantine folder removal

Greetings,

I have installed AdwCleaner on an infected computer to remove the malware. The tool detected many things and removed some of them; however, it moved some of them into the quarantine. How can I get rid of the files and folder in this folder for good? Removing the folder by Shift+Del does not remove the relevant files from the quarantine manager in AdwCleaner. Any help/suggestion is welcome.

try reloading the quarantine manager (restert the program) and see if they are still there after you deleted the folder.

Hello Hacb the files were still there after I had deleted the folder. I do not know what causes this.

Try uninstalling ADW, as one of the options you usually get is delete Quarantine files

You can reinstall ADW afterwards.

Dear torchwood thanks for the reply I will try it when I switch to Windows.

Open cmd As Administrator > navigate to that folder
del *.* Enter
that should delete all files in folder. After that you can try to delete Folder also.
