After extraction can’t open some illustrator files.

Hi, I use ADOBE Illustrator cs6. And I’ve mat a problem with opening files. A few days ago I’ve downloaded an 13gb archive with lots of pictures and image samples and so on. Today I’ve extracted it without any problem. And started to work with them, but some of them doesn’t open. I understand that the problem isn’t in my Illustrator but in archive or in these files. Tried to re-extract them… the same problem. Extraction is OK, some files are bad. So I think that problem is in the files. May be there is some way to recover them? Hope for your help.

I'd agree that it's possible the individual files were corrupted before creating the archive. Is the download in .zip or .rar format or some other compression format? Very large downloads, even small ones, can get corrupted along the way but since you can extract files it appears that's not the case here, the download itself didn't get corrupted.
