Hi all,
i'm a newbie on W&, did few searches but didn't find a solution to my problems.

I own a Sony Vaio VGC-JS1E, the all in one PC. Used to run under Vista and was working properly. I decided to move to W7 and installed the ultimate version after a complete format. Well, happy of the OS but i'm encountering 2 very annoying problems:

1) Internet connection is super slow, drops often with any web browser i use
2) Skype calls are very poor quality, bad trasmission, poor audio quality....

With Vista everything was running smoothly...

In the device manager i have under "other devices" 2 not working links: a) base system device and b) Unknown device; tried to source drivers from Sony website but unsuccessfully.

Have any you you idea of how i can fix my issues? Internet and audio in particular? I'm struggling...

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

Lillo

Welcome to SF, fcefalu. First, please enter your complete System Specs.

I have a feeling you need an updated network driver. What is the make AND model of your network card?

Hi Lemur, txs for the prompt reply and i apologize for not getting back to you immediately but i was travelling in the last days.

I had the same feeling, Atheros AR928X is my Wireless Network Adapter, and Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit Network connection is my (well don't know what is this!!!)

I played with a couple of driver version of My Atheros Wireless Adapter... No result, actual drivers are 7.6.1.122 update on 9/18/2008. the latest one (dated 2009 ) completely block my connection...

Any tip?
