AI Suite III Voltage

Just recently noticed when when i'm overclocking my Haswell i7 4770K mobo maximus vi formula

I set manual voltage to the CPU 1.210 the AI SUITE III reports back with a slightly higher CPU voltage if i use a 3rd party software programme CPU voltage is 1.110

Is AI SUITE misleading me

Any help would be fantastic

For me the Suite shows either slightly less or a little more then you are actually using it's sort of a toss up have you used HW monitor to check and compare volts and packages ?

So were the one's you checked with HW monitor or AIDA did it show the same across the board ?

I tend to rely more on HW monitor. But I suggest turning AI suite off when doing so. If you don't AI suite will report silly warning readings in my experience.

Ai suite has a highest of all voltages set by me for example 4.6ghz voltage 1.236 ai suite shows 1.248

Could be the LLC which is auto

Might try setting it to a level to help stop spikes in voltage that is all I can think of

Now i'm confused ai suite is showing the vcore instead of the VID that was set

I would think it's the auto LLC it goes all over because of the Phase switching you set it to extreme or the setting below it I think it will even out across the board but as long as you are using the HW monitor and AIDA they are basically telling you the truth and would just leave it at that

I doubt all programs read the same anyway and the two you have used you said yourself they were right on target

It keeps your V-core constant at the same voltage with out droop meaning loss of voltage that is supplied

LLC on auto could use more then what you have it actually set too if you set it to like a med to high range it would be solid and wouldn't add or subtract power it would be 100% locked at that but there is a possibility you would see a .1 to .3 decrease in voltage over time nothing to worry about though if the PSU is solid everything else will be too
