Alarm Clock

I would like to find a good free download for an alarm clock, because the one that I used in the past (World Time by Pawprint) sets off the spyware/malware alarms on several of my security programs.

Would anyone know of such a program, that they are confident that is is spyware/malware free?

No, but since your thread questions any malware, the source verifies it. The reviews will help you a lot too.

I have downloaded this WinAlarm Freeware download and reviews from SnapFiles And scanned it with MSE and it came up clean I have had it on my computer for quite a while with no problems.

The problem is that CNET doesn't specifically say anything about whether it has been tested for spyware/malware, and with a mundane name like Alarm Clock, there are more than one available, so it is difficult to cross-check it elsewhere. The reviews on it are a mixed bag, but the cons say nothing about malware, however I don't trust their reviews, because they are anonymous as far as I'm concerned, and even if they are real, there is no reason to believe that they were posted by knowledgeable people, who have actually considered a possible infection.

It was quite some time ago, that I downloaded World Time, but at that time, I didn't see any mentions of malware with it either. That is why I posted this question here, hoping that someone with hands on experience would suggest something they know, at least to the point that they have used it enough to have some idea of it quirks, and if it popped any security alert.

I like the look of this, but of course the more important aspect is how well it works? I'm not talking about how well it keeps time...I'll assume that it does that, but browsing through the reviews, I saw one gripe in several reviews, being that the volume of the alarm can't be adjusted, nor can the sound used for it.

You can choose whatever .WAV file you want (there are dozens in C\:Windows\Media of course). The alarm can be chosen to sound until you silence it with a mouse-click, or you're able to choose that it sounds three times. You can choose the display colour and also select a 24h/12h clock view.

It does not have the ability to over-ride Windows main volume control however - so if you've got it low or muted then this gadget will also reciprocate that. Volume is an issue with any such software of course.

It's as stable as your Windows Sidebar.exe process and barely uses any resources

Then again, maybe not. When I I went to the download page and selected the clock, it takes me to another page with different types of other downloads, but not clock, except in a yellow box with a bunch of other programs. When I click that link, it takes me to another website:

But what is pictured there looks a bit different than on the page that your link points to. Am I blind, or is that the right link?

Thanks for attaching the file, because when I tried the link you posted right above it, I got exactly the same page as before, not seeing the right download. I guess I am blind, since you found it.
