Hi guys,

I have a laptop in which I am running windows 7 pro x64. But as I had a problem with the weak signal I bought an alfa network antenna : 802.11/g long-range
model awus036h.

I have installed the driver following step by step the instructions from the driver's site.
But I am only able to see only the other's SSIDs not MINE  . and also Even when i am forcing to connect to my SSID it doesn't connect. My network is not Hidden so I dont get it.

the inner network adapter is atheros AR5007 and PCI: Realtek RTL8102E
can please someone help me?

please go into device manaer and verify the driver is installed and working.

Please go to start>search>type device manager.
Are there any "unknown devices" with yellow triangles on them?
Is you driver there , listed, and working?

If y our driver is missing, or there is a yellow triangle on it, you will need to update it.

Thanks for the reply! :D

I have already install the latest version of the driver.

When I am connecting the antenna works and I have signal from other networks.
The problem is that it doesn't find my network and also when I am forcing it to connect in mine (manually) it appears that the network is offline!

When I have connected the antenna and also enable the inner wifi, both networks can find the same networks, of course the antenna can see some more and also it has better signal strength, but the antenna cannot see mine.

Any ideas?

old but recently had same issue

turns out it was very simple duh moment. it appears different wireless cards keep passwords saved separately. since i had recently changed network password for home network i had forgotten to do the same with realtek wireless. to change saved password right click on home connection, properties, and update network security key.

Hi all,
it appears I have a sim ilar problem as above and none of the suggestions in other threads worked for me. Here we are talking about the ALFA AWUS036NH (the green one). THe driver for the card installs fine and windows does not complain. In Device manager it shows up as 802.11 USB wireless LAN card. Driver is Ralink 3.0.2.0. and win says this device is working properly. The blue light is blinking. However, if I want to enable it in adapter settings, a small window says enabling for 2 sec, but the adapter never shows up as enabled. If no other network card enabled, there is no network visible.
What to do?
Thanks
Mundy
