all control panel items icon missing

I just installed Win7 ultimate, and it works great. I went into the control panel to change the power settings, and I realized that the control panel is missing the icon for "all control panel items". I unlocked the built in administrator account and tried it that way, but the item is still missing. everything else seems to work perfectly. Any ideas?

I've just looked through my control panel icons and I don't have it either. I'm not sure what you mean.

Many prefer to use the Snipping Tool:
WIN key | type Snipping | Enter key

I use SnagIt but that's a non-free product.

I don't recall seeing such an icon in either Vista or 7 GR. What OS are you coming from before 7 Ultimate?

Upper right corner, click 'view by' and set it how you want. I have ticked 'small icons'
