Hi all,

I used to have Windows Vista with my laptop (Dell Vostro 1320) and almost all the games I used to play with xp did work fine (Battle for middle earth series/ Company of Heroes/ HAWX). But later I found those games started to lagging after playing about 5-10 mins later. This was happend after I installing Directx 11 pack. After a while I moved into Windows 7. In there I found that videos also start to lag after while of 10-15 mins. I found a solution for that which I used to use VLC player.

Later one of my friend said that DIrectx might give those probs coz he had same issues with xp which helped out by installing directx. So I tried to install Directx 9, but I m not sure whether it installed perfectly, yet problem with videos were solved and now I can use media player without anykind of lagging. But lagging in games are still there.

Recently I found above action has solved the problem in Matrix- Path of Neo game which I can play without any lagging. But other games still sufffer (even Age of Mythology which doesnt have much graphics suffers with that).

If anyone can help me out with this, it would be a great help for me.

Thanx

Whenever things start lagging for me, I say its time for a cleanup (ccleaner, Defrag Etc)
Idk if it will relate to you, but it works for me.

You don't say anything about video and audio drivers so I just got to add that updating your drivers may also help.

GeForce 9300M GS: 16 stream processors, 400MHz core, 800MHz shader, 600MHz memory, 64-bit memory interface. That's why games are sluggish.

You said games "worked fine" with XP, but you also said that they started lagging after only 5-10 minutes... to me, it doesn't sound like they "worked fine" at all.

About the only thing you can do is to turn down your settings and/or play the games at a lower resolution. The 9300M isn't a gaming card.

You should get the DirectX June package that update all versions of DirectX: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=3b170b25-abab-4bc3-ae91-50ceb6d8fa8d

If games work fine in the beginning and start lagging after 5-10 minutes, i suspect that it could be a graphics throttling or overheating issue. The chip has clocked itself down to prevent failure. Ensure that your graphics card isn't overheating (using software like GPUZ) and check the vents of your laptop and make sure it's not clogged with dust or anything similar...

All the games were working fine with Vista until I have update Directx to 11. After that they started to lagging. So I cleaned up all and put Windows 7 and games are lagging from the begining as before.
Even small flash games are getting stucked for 2-3 secondes sometimes. I have updated my video drivers and Directx, but no luck..
