I think I may be having a driver issue. I picked up a USB2.0 ALLin1 Card Reader. It worked for a while then one day I plugged my iPod Touch in and got a message saying that my usb port is not working at optimal speed or something to that degree. From the sounds of it my computer forgot that the drives are USB2.0, and has stopped seeing the card reader as a portable hard drive. It can still see my camera and iPod Touch, but usage of the camera is very limited.

I've removed usb drivers in the past and the card reader seemed to start working again, but it's kind of a pain to do often. Any idea what's going on? Thanks all!

Whenever my XP machine tells me that, it either means that the USB device I am plugging in is messed up, or it does not have good physical contact.

Try unplugging and plugging the device back in. Also try another USB port.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I probably should have mentioned this in my initial post.

My motherboard usb ports are on the back of the my tower, and there are 2 usb ports stationed at the front of the tower.

I usually have my iPod Touch and the card reader connected to the front 2 ports, but when the error message has popped up in the past, I have tried the back ports to no avail. Thank you again for your quick reply though.
