Hey everyone! I am new to the forum and needed some help

Recently on my computer all my programs have been "Not Responding" every 5 - 10 minutes and it gets very annoying.

My computer also randomly freezes and also restarts all on its own.

-----
I tried many anti virus/malware etc... programs and none have solved the problem!

What I used:
Anti Malware Bytes
Anti Root Kit
Super Anti Spyware
AVAST anti virus
CCleaner (Reg cleaner, etc)

Nothing has fixed my issue. I usually can fix issues on my own but this is really getting on my nerves and I don't know what to do..

I have googled my issue and I seen many posts about my issue here but nothing worked for me.

PS: I also sometimes get random BSODS but happens very randomly sometimes often, and sometimes it doesnt happen in a week.

If you guys can help me out with my problem I will really appreciate it. I honestly don't want to restore my whole PC because I have a lot of important things on here which I can't back up.

Is there a program that can update all my drivers or I have to do it manually?

Wait, do you mean just like that it restarts on it's own without a BSOD or anything? Just straight up power off?

How old is the computer in question?

Are you able to monitor your cpu temps in the BIOS? Do you have a program to monitor your cpu temp within Windows?

Do you have the option of alternately testing your system with a single stick of RAM?

Might want to test it with a Linux LiveCD (Linux Mint or Fedora is easy to use) if it seems fine there, perhaps your Windows installation is corrupted.

My laptop is a few years old.
I used some program that said it can increase my fans speed which none worked on my laptop. It said all my stuff were hot but the thing is my brother gave me this laptop and when he gave it to me he told me that the battery is bad and it has to be on charge at all times if you unplug it the battery will die in 2 minutes lol.

So my laptop does get really hot but I never had any issues of my PC BSODing or randomly freezing out of no where or completely random restarts.

Yes I can be typing then my PC just restarts on it's own instantly or it will just turn off. This has happened all of a sudden and recently which is why it's getting on my nerves.

"Do you have the option of alternately testing your system with a single stick of RAM?"
I don't know how to do that :/

My problem hasn't started years ago, months ago, probably a 1 month ago my pc would just shut it self off for no reason and I thought my battery died but it was at 15%

I've had my laptop really hot to touch at 3% battery and i never had random shut off issues. This has been getting on my nerves a lot when my computer randomly turns off or restarts all on its own.

I downloaded device doctor pro and updated all my drivers using that but I still am having my PC restarted / turned off all on its own.

I really hope I can get some help :o

Did you try running without the battery? Just unplug it (shutdown first) and run on AC adapter alone

Yea and my battery dies in less than 5 minutes. My battery will never hit 100% right now it's 16% right now. Gains like 1% a week or so lol.

All my programs still become "Not Responding" :(

Ok, I had 2 suggestions there. So, try remove the battery and run on AC adapter alone.
