Hi!

I have been nagging my head at this issue for weeks, and it has become such a burden and an annoyance that I simply can't deal with it anymore. I am on the brink of re-installing my whole Windows just to get rid of this pesky issue.

A while ago I started experiencing these BSODs caused by netio.sys (IRQL something something aswell). At first I thought it was a one time deal, as those have happened to me in the past. Recently in the past few weeks, this issue has gotten out of hand. It used to be one BSOD a day, now it is a BSOD every one hour. I would really, really appreciate if someone could help me out with this. I tried using Windows Debugging Tools but I couldn't get them to work properly (don't understand how that whole symbol deal works for WinDbg).

At the bottom you can find a file composed by the log compiler; please give me a hand!

Thanks in advance!

It is a network related BSOD, apparently. But this entry in the raw stack makes me rub my chin .....
Code:
fffff880`031d92a0 fffff880`00fd61a0 [COLOR=Red]ataport[/COLOR]!WPP_MAIN_CB
Ataport is storage controller. It is extremely vulnerable to malwares like rootkit. Seeing this entry in a network related BSOD gives a hint of a virus infection.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs only, not with AVG.

Now, the network driver is failing ....
Code:
fffff880`031ca938 fffff880`06eeaf6bUnable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys, Win32 error 0n2
[COLOR=Red]*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for Rt64win7.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Rt64win7.sys[/COLOR]
 Rt64win7+0x7f6b
.... and as there is a scope to update the network driver ....
Code:
    Image name: Rt64win7.sys
[COLOR=Red]    Timestamp:        Tue Aug 26 11:52:08 2014[/COLOR] (53FC2790)
.... update it. Download and install the driver from Realtek ... get the second one from the list (that is the "Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program") there and install it.

Also, Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus (you may keep Fences too, it is not problematic).
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

  • Double click to open it.
  • Click this button only:
  • 2012-12-13_224441.jpg
  • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
Report us for any further BSOD after doing these.
