Almost regular BSODs

Hi community,

after looking for solutions on my own and searching the internet without result I hope you can help me somehow:

Since I installed Windows 7 x64 on a new system (I had tried Vista x64 before but I don't like that OS), it keeps annoying me with random BSODs. Meanwhile, I have updated every driver and peace of software. The strange thing is following: The machine runs perfectly OK for one or more weeks before it crashes twice (either on two following days or within two hours). Then it works fine for a few days and so on (can be seen from the minidump, I suppose).
The BSOD is always triggered by "ntoskrnl.exe" (says windows). And it always occurs when I work with the PC (for downloading and calculation purposes it runs two to four nights a week).
As the OS is installed from a downloaded ISO-file (msdnaa), my first (and only) explanation so far are some corrupted bytes due to the download. I have checked the RAM with memtest yet, but without any result even after a few hours.

The hardware is following:
i7-860 on MSI P55M-GD45
2x2GB GeIL PC3-10667U CL7-7-7
2xSamsung HD502HJ Raid1
HIS Radeon HD4760 1024MB (in second PCIe slot)
Intel 5100agn (via adapter in first PCIe slot)

Thank you very much for your help!

(if I made too much spelling and grammar mistakes, feel free to drop a hint ;))

Don't worry, your English is WAY better than my German (the little that I know).

The last three appear to be caused by your ShrewSoft Virtual Network Adapter, and needs to have its driver updated

Hello Mcpope, Welcome to SF,

I guess the issue is with some VPN software in your Computer. It is referring to vfilter.sys possible locations are
Code:
 [/FONT]
[FONT=Book Antiqua]%ProgramFiles%\awomo\vfilter.sys[/FONT]
[FONT=Book Antiqua]%ProgramFiles%\shrewsoft\vpn client\drivers\vfilter.sys[/FONT]
[FONT=Book Antiqua]%System%\drivers\vfilter.sys[/FONT]
[FONT=Book Antiqua]
You could uninstall it and see whether it makes any difference.

Run the Memory Diagnostic & HD Diagnostic

Also i would recommend to run System Integrity Checker
Start > Run > CMD >Right Click and Run as administrator > SFC/ SCANNOW

Wow. I checked the dump-files with "bluescreenreview", but compared to your information the tool is rather ... poor.

Thank you both very much, great help!:thumbsup:
I would have searched the reason everywhere but definitely not in that peace of software.^^

Now I've just uninstalled the vpn-client (hopefully completely...), let's see what happens during the next weeks. (Today, the machine collapsed two times and so the next "regular" BSOD should occur in one or two weeks.)
Unfortunately I need a vpn-client from time to time for university stuff and shrew is the only one available for 7 x64 that is proved to work. Maybe another version works. I'll post the results.

Just out of curiosity: How did you get all the data out of the dump-files?
