Reason for this is it will tell me what is installed on your machine

Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
Place a check next to attact.txt and click Start . When done, DDS will open two logs
DDS.txt
Attach.txt
Save two logs onto your desktop and upload them with your reply

This is a portable version . Download the file extract to the desktop and choose the Ccleanerx64.exe to run .

We are working in the cleaner section of the program. Uncheck Network passwords under Windows Explorer . Uncheck Windows Error Reporting , DNS CACHE , FONT CACHE , START MENU SHORTCUTS , and DESKTOP SHORTCUTS under System . Uncheck everything from Advanced . Choose Run Cleaner

GOOGLE CHROME

Go to the installation folder of Google Chrome:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\User Data.
In the User Data folder, look for a file named as "Default" and rename it.
Launch Google Chrome and a new "Default " file will be created.

Which begs a question, actually. More than ever, I want to ensure I am backing up correctly. I currently run standard Windows backup, onto an external drive, regularly. Is this not OK? Other guy, earlier in thread, said prob not. Terrified of going through this again, want to ensure I am never without backup.

How old is the laptop ? Reason I ask is cause I remember seeing WildTangent which is full of trial games . If you don't play any of the games in there feel free to remove WildTangent.
