Good work, brato92!!

Glad the laptop is working well.

This is a good time to do the following...

Please create a new System Restore Point, and then remove the old ones:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/697-system-restore-point-create.html

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/336-system-protection-restore-points-delete.html
Remove all but the most recent restore point (use Option Two)

~~~~
Also, you can remove from your Desktop any program executables we used, and uninstall any programs used and no longer needed. Do so from Control Panel > Programs and Features, if any are present there. Some of the programs used are updated frequently, and there is no point in keeping an old version.
Thanks for your patience and for following all the instructions provided.
If, in the next week, any malware problems develop, post back to this thread. However, do not expect that to be the case.
Surf safely, brato92!!
Guys, thanks for all your help - cottonball & VistaKing - you 2 are real Windows gurus. RESPECT!
P.S.: one last question (offtopic) before i'll close this thread: Do you think Windows 8 is better (faster, run smootly) than Win 7 ?? I have some colleagues that recently went on Windows 8 and they said it runs much better. I'm quite tempted to change it, but i need your advices.
I personally don't use Windows 8. I stick to Windows 7
If you want to go to Windows 8 you would have to purchase a legit DVD from either a store or from Microsoft online.
Backup your files and then Install Windows 8 I wouldn't recommend doing an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8.
Windows 8 does boot up faster than Windows 7. Test Windows 8 on your friend's PC if you like Windows 8 than upgrade it. Its more of a Personal choice than what we tell you what to do. Just cause you got a virus in Windows 7 doesn't mean you won't get one in Windows 8.
Got Windows 7 and also Windows 8.
Windows 8 takes some getting used to, since the interface is very different from 7. It seems faster than 7, and Windows Defender is presented as an AntiVirus in 8.
Testing Windows 8, like VistaKing says, is a good idea. You will get a feel for it.
Something else you need to consider, if you are thinking about an upgrade, is the age of your present machine, how much memory it has, processor, etc.
And then, you could just get an 8 laptop, and have both!!
I talked myself into doing just that, because, whenever I help someone in the forums, I like to check things out in the same system they have.
You can always find a reason for getting a new computer.
Again, thanks for your advices, i'll take in consideration. If i'll change it, it's because of running faster, not for that different Start Menu, or Windows Store, or having the last OS. Have a nice day guys! Peace!
