All you need to do is un install the HDMI driver in the catalyst control panel. Then install only the HDMI driver from the previous driver. I had the same issue on a DVR machine and completely reinstalled windows 7 and got the same result.
OR try the latest driver that came out a few days ago.

I'm looking around how to find the driver in the atalyst control panel, I'm unable to find it.

I notice it's a dated thread, otherwise I would have stayed away. Hope you sort your problem out, if you want you can look up old threads on this forum that I started about the same issue, maybe it helps you?
