Solved amd radeon hd 6670 random freezes

hi my comp is a new build ....my display driver radeon hd freezes for 15 seconds exact while i play games or watch videos like while league of legends...this screws up the game....i am on 13.6 version..what to do? the temp also doesnt seem to be running high,after 15 secs it shows display driver stopped responding and has recovered...

Hi asfagus, As mentioned in your post that temps are normal for your card and this is new build so dust will be not the issue (I suppose!).
1. Which PSU are you using for the card?
2. Uninstall the drivers, User "DriverSweeper" to remove all the bits of the old driver and install 13.4 (most stable for me) for the GPU and then check if the freeze is there.
3. Are you using multiple RAM sticks or just one 4GB dimm? If multiple, then try to run on single stick and check. If not run "memtest" overnight to check for any errors on the memory.

i changed the drivers to 13.4 now it is not coming thanks...but how do i chk psu

Glad your issue is resolved. For checking the PSU, you can look at the back of your cabinet. and you will find the name of the manufacturer of PSU and the Watts will be mentioned as well.

I am having the same problem. I am not getting any RPM on my GPU. What should i do ?

Take out the card and reinsert it. Check for power. Make sure all the cable are properly plugged in.

If this does not help, RMA your card. It might be dead. Kindly fill in your system specs as well and start a new thread.

Was the RPM box working before? Fan Speed is 39% right above RPM so it seems working, 40C is normal too.

Try MSI Afterburner too, and see if it reports correctly.

Probably find the cad/fan isn't wired to show the RPM.
